Boston man assaults female at Back Bay Station
On December 19th, 2016 at approximately 4:30PM a Transit Police officer assigned to the Central District was on patrol at the MBTAs Back Bay station when his attention was drawn to a commotion near the fare gates. The officer proceeded in that direction and came upon a 21 year old female who was the victim of an assault. The victim was distraught and appeared to have sustained a facial injury. The female victim informed the officer of the following : while exiting an orange line train a male, later identified as a 53 year old resident of Boston, violently pushed her out of the way so he could exit the train. The victim requested an apology which was not offered. The victim in turn removed the males eye glasses from his face and demand he apologize for his actions. As a response the male, with a closed fist, struck the female in the face. (An independent witness confirmed this account)The female victim was transported by Boston EMS for treatment and evaluation to a local area hospital. The male will be summoned to Boston Municipal Court-Central Division for Assault & Battery.

White or Hispanic male, 57" in height, 20 to 25 years of age, thin build, wearing glasses, a white and black beanie cap, maroon puffy coat; and jeans. This subject frequently uses a skateboard.

Officers placed Alves into custody for Indecent Assault & Battery and transported him to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process. During this process it was discovered there was a warrant in existence for Alves arrest issued out of Wareham District Court for 2 counts of Vandalize Property.

On April 27, 2016 the Transit Police received a report from a 14 year old female who was indecently assaulted while at the MBTAs Downtown Crossing Station earlier that same day (approx. 8AM) . Transit Police detectives, after a thorough investigation, identified the assailant as , Terrell Alves, 25, homeless. On todays date (05/03/2016) TPD detectives located Alves in Kenmore Sq. and placed him into custody for Indecent Assault & Battery.
This is not Alves first encounter with the Transit Police. On December 17, 2015 Alves was placed into custody by Transit Police officers at Downtown Crossing MBTA for another Indecent Assault & Battery.(see posting here)
Alves will be arraigned sometime tomorrow in Boston Municipal Court-Central Division.
