Boston man with multiple warrants draws attention to himself

On May 23, 2016 at approximately 11:35AM Transit Police officers assigned to the North District were conducting Point of Entry Policing at the MBTAs Davis Sq., station. While there they had their attention drawn to a male, later identified as Christopher Hoffman, 30, of Boston smoking a cigarette in close proximity to several "NO SMOKING" signs. Officers approached Hoffman and subsequently discovered there were several warrants in existence for Hoffmans arrest issued by Attleboro District Court for Uttering a False Check 2 counts and  Larceny Over 250.00 2 counts, Wrentham District Court for Uttering a False Check 2 counts and Larceny Over 250.00 2 counts and Milford District Court for Uttering a False Check and Larceny Over 250.00. Hoffman was transported to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process.


 During the booking process Transit Police were notified by the Rhode Island State Police there was an extraditable warrant for Hoffman from their state. Hoffman to be additionally charged with being Fugitive from Justice.

New Hampshire man draws attention to himself and ends up arrested

On June 8, 2016 at approximately 1PM Transit Police officers patrolling the MBTAs Alewife station  observed a male, later identified as Jason Cheever, 39, of Goffstown, NH causing a disturbance near the Customer Service Booth. Shortly thereafter Cheever was again observed engaging in tumultuous behavior and arguing with another patron in the busway. Officers approached Cheever and subsequently discovered there was a warrant for Cheevers arrest issued by Roxbury District Court for Failure to Provide a DNA Sample. Cheever was placed into custody and transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process.

Quincy man w a warrant draws attention to himself

On April 8, 2016 at approximately 5:45PM Transit Police officers assigned to the South District were conducting Point of Entry Policing at the MBTAs Quincy Center Station. While there they had their attention drawn to a male, later identified as Michael Sargent, 37, of Quincy. Sargeant was smoking from a cigarette within feet of a conspicuously posted "NO SMOKING" sign. Officers approached and requested Sargenats identification for citation purposes.  Sargent provided a false name and other identifiers in an attempt to mislead the officers. Subsequently officers discovered Sargents true identity which revealed he was wanted by Plymouth District Court for Possession of a Class B Substance. Sargeant was placed into custody and transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process. Prior to transport officers located a plastic baggie containing suspected Heroin in Sargents possession.

Plymouth man w warrants draws attention to himself

On June 16, 2016 at approximately 7:15PM Transit Police officers assigned to the Central District were on patrol at the MBTAs Tufts Medical Center Station when their attention was drawn to a male, later identified as Anthony Binsfield,  32, of Plymouth. Binsfield was inhaling an unknown substance from a glass pipe. Officers approached Binsfield who proceeded to furnish the officers with misleading information relative to his identity. Officers eventually ascertained Binsfields true name and subsequently discovered there were several warrants in existence for his arrest issued from: Dedham District Court for Larceny, Plymouth District Court for Larceny from a Building, Credit Card Larceny and Larceny Over 250.00 (3 counts). Binsfield was placed into custody and transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process.

 During the booking process Binsfiled was found to be in possession of what the officers believed to be Heroin. Binsfield will be additional charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Chelsea man wanted for Home Invasion draws attention to himself

Chelsea man wanted for Home Invasion draws attention to himself

On January 24, 2017 at approximately 9:10am Transit Police officers assigned to the Departments Crime Suppression Team were on patrol at the MBTAs Haymarket Station. While there they encountered a group of disorderly individuals who officers ejected from the station. One of the individuals, later identified as Anthony Norton-Uliano, 21, of Chelsea had a warrant for his arrest issued from Chelsea District Court for Assault with a Dangerous Weapon 2 counts, Home Invasion, Assault & Battery, Malicious Destruction of Property Over 250.00 and Carrying a Dangerous Weapon.


Norton-Uliano was placed into custody and transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process.
