WebBrowserPassView is a password recovery tool that reveals the passwords stored by the following Web browsers: Internet Explorer (Version 4.0 - 11.0), Mozilla Firefox (All Versions), Google Chrome, Safari, and Opera. This tool can be used to recover your lost/forgotten password of any Website, including popular Web sites, like Facebook, Yahoo, Google, and GMail, as long as the password is stored by your Web Browser.
After retrieving your lost passwords, you can save them into text/html/csv/xml file, by using the Save Selected Items option (Ctrl+S).
Using WebBrowserPassView
WebBrowserPassView doesnt require any installation process or additional DLL files. In order to start using it, simply run the executable file - WebBrowserPassView.exe
After running it, the main window of WebBrowserPassView displays the list of all Web browser passwords found in your system. You can select one or more passwords and then copy the list to the clipboard (Ctrl+C) or export them into text/xml/html/csv file (Ctrl+S).

Password Security Scanner Check the security strength of your passwords on Windows
This utility scans the passwords stored by popular Windows applications (Microsoft Outlook, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, and more...) and displays security information about all these passwords. The security information of every stored password includes the total number of characters, number of numeric characters, number of lowercase/uppercase characters, number of repeating characters, and password strength. You can use this tool to determine whether the passwords used by other users are secured enough, without watching the passwords themselves.
Start Using Password Security Scanner
Password Security Scanner doesnt require any installation process or additional dll files. In order to start using it, simply run the executable file - PasswordScan.exe
After you run PasswordScan.exe, Password Security Scanner scans the passwords stored on your system, and then displays the security information of all found passwords inside the main window.
You can also go to the Advanced Options window (F9) and choose to displays only insecure passwords with low number of characters or with low password strength value.
Columns Description
- Item Name:The name of the item. For Web site passwords, the address of the Web site is displayed. For email passwords, the email address is displayed.
- Password Type:The type of the password: Web Browser, Messenger, Email, or Dialup/VPN.
- Application:The application that stores the specified password item: Microsoft Outlook, Firefox, Internet Explorer, and so on...
- User Name:The user name that is used with the specified password item.
- Password Length:The total number of characters in the password.
- Numeric:The total number of numeric characters (0 - 9) in the password.
- Lowercase:The total number of lowercase characters (a - z) in the password.
- Uppercase:The total number of uppercase characters (A - Z) in the password.
- Other Ascii:The total number of non-alphanumeric characters in the password.
- Non-English:The total number of non-English characters in the password.
- Repeating:The total number of repeating characters in the password. For example, if the password is abcdab, then the Repeating value will be 2, because both a and b characters appears more than once.
- Password Strength:The strength of the password, calculated according to number of parameters, including the total number of characters, number of repeating characters, type of characters used in the passwords, and more...The numeric value displayed in this column represents the strength of the password, according to the following list:
- 1 - 7: Very Weak
- 8 - 14: Weak
- 15 - 25: Medium
- 26 - 45: Strong
- 46 and above: Very Strong
- Windows User:The Windows user that owns the password. For most passwords, this column will display the current logged-on user. However, for Dialup passwords of Windows, you might also see the passwords of other Windows users, and in those cases, this column will display the Windows users that created the dialup password.

VNCPassView is a small utility that recover the passwords stored by the VNC tool. It can recover 2 of passwords: password stored for the current logged-on user (HKEY_CURRENT_USER in the Registry), and password stored for the all users.

A simple tool that allows users to have strong unique passwords for each website, without the need to store them either locally or with an online service. It is available as a command-line tool for Linux/Mac/Windows and an Android app.
Passera turns any entered text into a strong password up to 64 characters long and copies it to clipboard. Figure out a decent system for yourself that will allow unique passphrases for every website, such as combining website name/URL with a phrase that you would not forget. To login, fire up Passera and enter the passphrase you chose and your real password will be copied to clipboard.

Relying on password managing software means trusting your passwords to be kept safe by a third-party company, or trusting them to a single file on your disk.
To make it somewhat more conspicuous, when you start Passera it copies a random password to clipboard. The real password is then only stored in clipboard for 10 seconds, before being overwritten by another random string.
Password security considerations
Passera is not designed to produce a hash of a given string by reinventing the wheel of cryptography. Instead, it produces a unique string of specified length, suitable for usage as a strong password. The cryptographic methods used are ensuring that the produced passwords are as "random" as possible, and are absolutely impossible to trace back to original passphrases.
Passwords, produced by Passera are impossible to brute-force, since it would take an extremely long time (as opposed to using combinations of real words and sentences as passwords). If a password gets leaked from a compromised website, an attacker would not be able to determine any of your other passwords. And if the attacker is aware that Passera has been used to create the password, brute-forcing with intent to find out the original passphrase would also take an extremely long time.
Passera does not ask for a website URL or a "master password" when generating a password, because these values would be included into the hashing algorithm in a particular way, potentially known to an attacker. Instead, users have the freedom to combine anything in any order, shape or form in the initial passphrase, making it exponentially more difficult to brute-force, to the point of being impossible.

System Requirements And Limitations
- This utility works on any version of Windows, starting from Windows 2000, and up to Windows 8, including 64-bit systems. Older versions of Windows (Windows 98/ME) are not supported, because this utility is a Unicode application.
- Currently, WebBrowserPassView cannot retrieve the passwords if they are encrypted with a master password. Support for master password will probably be added in future versions.
- Currently, WebBrowserPassView cannot retrieve passwords from external hard-drive. Support for that might be added in future versions.
- On Internet Explorer 7.0-9.0, the passwords are encrypted with the URL of the Web site, so WebBrowserPassView uses the history file of Internet Explorer to decrypt the passwords. If you clear the history of Internet Explorer, WebBrowserPassView wont be able to decrypt the passwords.
- On Google Chrome - passwords originally imported from Internet Explorer 7.0-9.0, cannot be decrypted.
