Dorchester man arrested on Warrants after fare evading
Michael Mayo |
On September 21, 2016 at approximately 10:30 PM Transit Police officers from the TPDs Crime Suppression Team were on patrol at the MBTAs Andrew Sq. station. While there they had their attention drawn to a male, later identified as Michael Mayo, 25, of Dorchester. Mayo gained access to the southbound platform without paying his fare. Officers approached Mayo and subsequently discovered he had several warrants in existence for his arrest issued from Dorchester District Court for Breaking & Entering a Vehicle, Larceny Over 250.00, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlicensed operation and Malicious Destruction of Property.
As the officers attempted to place Mayo into custody he attempted to flee from the officers. After a brief struggle officers were able to gain control of Mayo. Mayo was transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process.
