Man wanted for Assaulting Police caught fare evading

On February 1, 2017 at approximately 7:30PM Transit Police officers were conducting Point of Entry Policing at the MBTAs Chinatown station. While there they had their attention drawn to a male, later identified as Xavier Galatis, 24, of Medford. Galatis entered through the fare gates without paying his fare. Officers approached Galatis for the purpose of issuing a citation and subsequently discovered there were warrants in existence for Galatis arrest issued from Cambridge District Court for Assault & Battery on a Police Officer, Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct and Threats to Commit a Crime.
Galatis was issued a citation, placed into custody and transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process.

Revere woman caught fare evading arrested on warrants

On December 7, 2016 at approximately 5:40pm Transit Police officers assigned to the Departments Crime Suppression Team were at the MBTAs Central Sq. station conducting Point of Entry Policing. While there they observed a female, later identified as Lisa Ferrarini, 46, of Revere fare evade by "piggybacking" in behind a paying customer. Officers approached for the purpose of issuing a citation and subsequently discovered there was a warrant in existence for drug violations issued from Boston Municipal Court-Central Division. Officers placed Ferrarini into custody and she transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process.
During this process Ferrarini was found to be in possession of several prescription medication for which she did not have a valid prescription. Ferrarini will be charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substances.

On December 5, 2016 at approximately 6:20PM Transit Police officers assigned to the Departments Crime Suppression Team were at the MBTAs Chinatown station conducting Point of Entry Policing. While there they observed a male, later identified as Omar Clapp, 38, of Dorchester evade his fare by "piggybacking" in behind a paying customer. Officers approached Clapp for the purpose of issuing a citation and subsequently discovered there was a warrant in existence for his arrest issued from Roxbury District Court for Indecent Assault & Battery and Dorchester District Court for two counts of Assault & Battery with a Dangerous Weapon.
Clapp was placed into custody and transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process.

On September 19, 2016 at approximately 4:30PM members of the TPDs Crime Suppression Team were on patrol at the MBTAs Mass Ave Station. While there they had their attention drawn to a male, later identified as Randy Thomas, 36, of Quincy. Thomas was standing on the platform smoking from a cigarette in close proximity to several NO Smoking signs. Officers approached Thomas and requested his information in order to issue a citation. Subsequently officers discovered Thomas had recently escaped from a pre release program and had an active warrant for his arrest out of Dedham District Court for Escape from Penal Institution.
Thomas was placed into custody and transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process. Thomas was also found to be in possession of a controlled narcotic of which he did not possess a prescription.

O September 20, 2016 at approximately 3:30PM Transit Police officers assigned to the North District received a radio call to respond to the MBTAs Porter Sq. station for a report of a male who was secretly taking videos of female passengers. Upon arrival the officer was met by a female victim who informed them a fellow passenger pointed out a male, later identified as James Cullers,51, of Boston and stated " Hes video taping up your skirt". The victim confronted Cullers who admitted to the act and agreed to delete the video. The victim then pointed out Cullers to the officer.
The officer approached Cullers who was holding a cellular telephone in his hand. Upon approach of the officer Culler began to manipulate the phone and apologize. Subsequent to an investigation Cullers was placed into custody for Making a Secret Video (Known as the Up Skirting Law) and transported to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process. During the booking process it was discovered there was a warrant for Cullers arrest issued from Wareham District Court for Rape and 2 counts of Indecent Assault & Battery on a person Over 14.

South Boston man wanted for Assault on Police caught fare evading

On September 29, 2016 at approximately 10:00PM members of the TPDs Crime Suppression Team were on patrol at the MBTAs Andrew Sq. station when their attention was drawn to a male, later identified as Stephen Berry, 46, of South Boston. Berry fare evaded through the fare gates by "Piggybacking" in behind a paying patron. Officers approached Berry to issue a citation and subsequently discovered he had several warrants in existence for his arrest issued by Quincy District Court for Assault & Battery on a Police Officer, Larceny Over 250.00, Receiving Stolen Property and Receiving a Stolen MV. Berry was placed into custody and transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process.
