Winthrop man netted by Point of Entry Policing

On March 24, 2016 at approximately 2:20PM Transit Police officers working in the North District were conducting Point of Entry Policing at the MBTAs Maverick Station. While there their attention was directed to a male, later identified as Mouad Faris, 30, of Winthrop who entered through the fare gates without paying. Officers approached Faris for the purpose of issuing a citation and subsequently discovered there were several warrants in existence for his arrest issued from East Boston District Court for Disorderly Conduct, Assault & Battery and various motor vehicle violations. Faris was placed into custody and transported to Transit PD HQ for the arrest booking process.
